In honor or memory of a loved one
Make a gift in honor or memory of someone you love, and we will send a letter to them or their family member to notify them of your generosity on their behalf.
When you donate using our website, there is an opportunity to designate your gift and provide us with the mailing address of the recipient or their family. If you pay by check, please indicate in the memo field the name of the person and if the gift is in honor or memory. Please include a note indicating how we may reach the honoree or the family member of the person in whose memory the gift is being made.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA)
If you are older than 70½ years of age and have a traditional Individual Retirement Account, you have the option to lower your income tax bill for 2024 by transferring your required minimum distribution to the Westport Country Playhouse. This type of gift can be omitted from your taxable income and earn you playhouse membership benefits — even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax return! Contact Catherine MacKay at 203-571-1291 or cmackay@westportplayhouse.org, or ask your IRA agent for more information about making a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
Planned giving
The Spotlight Legacy Society welcomes individuals and couples who commit to a unique, lasting gift of support for the Westport Country Playhouse in their estate plans and/or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, retirement plan or charitable trust. Among other benefits, members receive invitation to exclusive Playhouse events where they may mix, mingle, and connect with other members.
