Tony, Emmy and Grammy-nominated artist N’Kenge has performed in Stephen Sondheim’s “Being Alive” at Westport Playhouse with Billy Porter Directing. As a soloist, N’Kenge has sung at world-renowned illustrious performance venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Madison Square Garden and has headlined Pop and Opera concerts with Houston Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, and Cleveland Orchestra, to name a few. She has performed for US Presidents, global dignitaries, and in prestigious venues across Europe and the US. A proud alumni of both The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, N’Kenge made her Broadway debut in Sondheim on Sondheim and was most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of Caroline, or Change. NY Post called her Electrifying when she originated the role of Mary Wells in Broadway’s Motown: The Musical. In addition to her performances, N’Kenge is currently developing a Broadway-bound musical celebrating Dorothy Dandridge’s life, has a non for profit N’KENGE FOUNDATION. She is also developing a new TV musical dramedy, Black Butterfly, which she is co-producing with TV producer Gina G. Goff (Goff Productions).
