The Playhouse is saddened to learn of the passing of Dramaturgo shay sangre joven, author of “SPECIAL DELIVERY,” a radio play produced as part of the Westport Country Playhouse Radio Theatre series and broadcast on WSHU in2021.
“Shay was a tremendous, creative spirit and a brilliant writer. Her work was filled with deep insight, warm humor and passionate ideas. The radio play she wrote for the Playhouse was a tremendous gift and I learned so much in collaborating with her, as she was also a wonderful teacher. I am so proud she is part of our theatre’s history, and very grateful to have known her.” – Mark Shanahan
