Come back to the Playhouse for a day of Fall- and Halloween-themed fun for the whole family!
As we return to live theater, we wanted to find a way to welcome back families and our littlest audience members to an outdoor event full of activities for kids, along with food trucks, beer tastings, a food drive, and costume parades around the campus for kids and pets.
We encourage everyone to wear costumes and get into the Fall spirit! We’ll have hot drinks and apple cider donuts on hand. Bring your own pumpkins to decorate, learn how to make an origami ghost or spider web as part of our Family Fun Day Activity Scavenger Hunt, listen to a ghost story courtesy of Playhouse Radio Theater, sit the littles down for Story Hours at 12PM and 2PM… and so much more!

Listen to a ghost story on the patio! We’ll be listening to a recording of Saturday’s WSHU Public Radio broadcast of the latest original new play in our Playhouse Radio Theater series, Spectres and Spirits, by Richard R. Henry, directed by Mark Shanahan.

One of our woodland fairies will take the kiddos around the Playhouse Campus to show off their costumes. Prizes for best costumes!

COVID safety
Masks are encouraged though not required while outdoors. Restrooms are located indoors where masks are required, so please have one handy. Playhouse staff and volunteers will be masked and vaccinated.
Designated physically-distanced eating locations will be set up in the parking lot. Tables and chairs will be sanitized frequently.
Food drive + Toy drive
Give back to your community! Bring a non-perishable food item, new book, or a toy donation with you to the event and get entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets to a show in our 2022 season!
We’re also collecting non-perishable food donations for Open Door Shelter. Download the flyer to see what items are most needed.
Plus, the Playhouse is now a Toys for Tots drop-off location! Toys can be dropped off when the box office is open (T–F, 12PM–6PM) and on performance days until December 10, 2021.
