Westport Country Playhouse is a barrier-free facility and is dedicated to providing an enjoyable theater experience for all patrons.
Wheelchair and Accessible Seating
A number of wheelchair and companion seats are available. If you are in need of this seating, please notify the box office when making your purchase. A ramp from the Playhouse entrance to the orchestra level is also available for patron use.
Assistive Listening Devices
A limited number of infrared assistive listening devices are available through the box office on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be asked to leave a form of identification as a deposit when you pick up the device.
Open Caption Performances
Every second Sunday matinee of each show, we offer open caption viewing. Audiences with varying degrees of hearing loss will be able to enjoy the performance while watching an easy-to-read digital screen of the actors’ dialogue.
Elevator
An elevator is available in the lobby for access to the mezzanine level of the theater and lobby.
Handicapped Restrooms
Handicap-accessible facilities are available in the main lobby and the mezzanine level. The mezzanine is accessible via the elevator.
Main Access
A ramp provides access to the Playhouse along the side of the building facing the parking lot. The entrance, marked with a blue sign, is at the opposite side of the building from the front porch.
Parking
Ample parking for patrons with special needs is available. Parking is available free of charge to patrons of the Playhouse. Parking is at your own risk, and the Playhouse will not be held liable for damage to or theft of your vehicle or its contents. As parking is limited, please arrive early and carpool when possible.
